Dark Pink Moon
Deep peace of the dark moon to you
March 29, 2025
What’s Been Germinating this Winter?
We have crossed the threshold into spring and the theme of the upcoming full Pink Moon is rebirth, of course! So as we pause in the deep breath that is the dark moon and as we prepare to wax toward the brightness of the full moon, let’s take this opportunity to reflect on what has been slowly growing and developing in us in the dark and cold months that is now getting ready to emerge.
Some Things to Consider:
On any typical day in the course of our lives, we may feel a huge range of emotions. With all the political, social, and economic upheaval we have been experiencing in the past days, weeks, months, and years, this flurry of emotions has become more potent, more noticeable, and for many of us, more difficult to navigate. So I don’t take any of these exercises lightly. Feelings will emerge, and feelings about those feelings will likely emerge as well.
I invite you to pay attention to your self-talk. For example, if you feel joyful and happy but then say to yourself, “it’s not OK to celebrate what’s happening in my career when so many people are being laid off.” Or if you say to yourself, “I’m in a lot of pain, and my friends won’t want to hear about it because they’re in a lot of pain, or my suffering doesn’t compare to other people’s.”
Just notice what’s coming up for you. Your feelings and experiences are valid. Everything from numbness to rage to disappointment to happiness - these feelings are what make up the human experience and they are enough, regardless of how they compare to other people’s experiences.
I encourage and invite you to notice your feelings, sit with them, and share them with people who feel safe to you.
Reflect
Here are some prompts to get the juices flowing. You may want to reflect by writing, doodling, meditating, or moving your body. Do whatever feels best to you!

Draw a tarot or oracle card and respond to the imagery, words, or symbols associated with it.
Ask your body how it would like to move, or any sounds it wants to make and let it. Reflect on how it feels to follow your body’s lead.
Share
Remember that none of us are on this journey alone. So if you’re doing your reflecting solo, make sure to circle back with others to let them in on how you’re doing, and to invite them to share their experiences with you as well.
What is something you want to celebrate at this point in time?
Who is someone you can share your celebration, and any other feelings, with?
What is one way you can reach out and support others in your circle in the coming weeks?
What’s something you’re looking forward to with the changing of the seasons?
What relationships do you want to engage with intention this spring?
